Can A Company Conduct Both Remediation and Testing For Mold?

December 28, 2016

Not in New Hampshire and many other states. As of January 1st 2016 it is illegal per NH Senate Bill 125 for someone to conduct both the remediation and testing in New Hampshire due to the inherent conflict of interest. Furthermore both the remediation company and testing company needs to obtain 3rd party certification. This is a big help for the protection of consumers seeking unbiased results by board certified companies. Before you hire someone to conduct the sampling and remediation ask if they are board certified. Make sure they do not engage in both the remediation and testing for mold. Inquire about their professional experience, education, sampling methodologies.

At IndoorDoctor we do not engage in any remediation, there is no conflict of interest and we meet and exceed all certification requirements as outlined by the American Council for Accredited Certification for mold testing.
